Zarqawi: Why Now?

There's really not too much left to say about the elimination of Zarqawi, except the world is a much better place today, once again courtesy of the United States military. The remaining unanswered question about the killing of head terrorist (Iraq "had nothing to do with terrorists"?) in Iraq - Why now? Why did Rove take him out in early June? Any amateur political strategist knows you roll out your best product in late September or October before the November election. Fitzgerald must be distracting him.

  1. Here's a strange idea. Maybe they took him out now because they found him. Maybe there was no political consideration. Maybe, just maybe, it was a strictly military operation. See, told you it was a strange idea.
