Whatchu talkin' about Hillary?

Senator Hillary Clinton compared the U.S. House of Representatives to a plantation yesterday during a Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday celebration at the Canaan Baptist Church in Harlem, NY. The senator said:

The House "has been run like a plantation, and you know what I’m talking about," said Clinton, D-N.Y. "It has been run in a way so that nobody with a contrary view has had a chance to present legislation, to make an argument, to be heard."

Yep, Hillary, that's exactly what Southern plantations were known for - the inability to present alternative legislation. Good grief. But actually, senator, we have no idea what you're talking about. It appears to be a case of nothing more than blatant race-baiting for it's own sake. "Hey, I'm in a room full of black people, I'll stir things up with a gratuitous plantation reference!"

Clinton should be pressed to explain exactly what she was talking about. We're sure the MSM will get right on that, with all the vigor with which they pursued Trent Lott. Speaking of which, the calls for Lott to step down from his leadership position in the senate were bipartisan. Senate Democrats should be pressed for their position on Senator Clinton's race-baiting comments.

Incidentally, this event took place at a Baptist church. What happened to that "separation of church and state" liberals are always warning about?
