Dizzy Dean: The terrorists have won

Dizzy Dean, the gift that keeps on giving. Today, he announced that the terrorists have won:

Saying the "idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong," Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean predicted today that the Democratic Party will come together on a proposal to withdraw National Guard and Reserve troops immediately, and all US forces within two years.

So there you have it. The idea the Democrats are going to rally around is that we've lost already. This is followed by a split-the-difference proposal - immediate withdrawal for some, another two years for others. They want to embrace the Murtha "immediate withdrawal" position, but it doesn't poll well enough yet.

In a fine illustration of doublespeak, Dean added:

He said the Democrat proposal is not a 'withdrawal,' but rather a 'strategic redeployment' of U.S. forces.

Defeat is victory. Ignorance is strength. Dean is nuts.

Dean finishes off the madness with this gem:

He [Bush] withheld the report from the CIA that in fact there was no evidence of weapons of mass destruction (in Iraq)

Really? No evidence? None? None at all? We'd sure like to see that report. There's no way Dean just made it up, is there? Come on. No rational, responsible spokesman for one of the two major American political parties would make up such a claim about a critical issue of U.S. national security, would he?

Here's more Dean fun via Michelle Malkin. And from RedState, "Democrats -- the new French"

Update: GOP Bloggers has reaction to Dean's comments from RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman.
