San Francisco votes against the right to choose

San Francisco voters yeterday voted against the rights of their fellow citizens to choose to defend themselves, and against the rights of students to talk to military recruiters. Yet more evidence that people on the left tend to be pro-choice only when it comes to abortion, and anti-choice on everything else.

Stanley Kurtz nails the significance of the seditious anti-military vote in The Corner at NRO:

Has San Francisco seceded from the United States? The passage of "Measure I," dubbed "College not Combat" would seem to say that it has. Apparently, by a margin of 60 percent to 40 percent, the voters of San Francisco have called for military recruiters to stay out of public high schools and colleges.
....

Although this resolution is non-binding, it is a profound repudiation of the most basic obligations of citizenship.

  1. I watched that Alioto chick the other day, and she was so ridiculous, it was crazy. About the military recruiting.

She said that these "children" were being misled and that they didn't know what was going on, so basically, the military recruiters were lying by ommission, and "illegally" getting these poor kids to sign up.

THEY ARE COLLEGE STUDENTS!!! If they don't know what's going on(in Iraq), then they need to start over in kindergarten. Morons.

I am so glad I do NOT live in the Bay Area anymore, the place is a fetid pit of liberals. Disgusting.
