Democratic Racism and Double Standards

What if, after Trent Lott made his comments about Strom Thrumond -

I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over all these years, either.

- what if one of Lott's senior advisors had said something like "that's not offensive, it's stating the obvious"?

Would there have been an MSM/Democratic party stampede calling for that campaign manager's head on a plate? Would there have been a deluge of protests about his "racial insensitivity"? These, of course, are entirely rhetorical questions. There's no way that senior advisor would have a prayer of keeping his job. And it's unlikely any Republican would dare ever hire him again, so his comment would in effect be a career-ender.

Which brings us back to the racist attacks on Maryland Senate candidate Michael Steele, and the response of Kweise Mfume senior campaign advisor Joe Trippi. Where is the MSM drumbeat for Trippi to be fired or resign? When is Trippi going to apologize? Is he going to do a week-long apology tour like Lott did? A blatant double standard? Of course, but that's nothing new.

  1. Due to an editing error, The Washington Times yesterday incorrectly reported the comments by a spokesman for Maryland senatorial candidate Kweisi Mfume regarding racially tinged attacks against Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele. Mfume spokesman Joseph R. Trippi said it was wrong to pelt Mr. Steele with Oreo cookies or to call him an "Uncle Tom."

Pretty big editing error -- that is now being spread.

  2. What is the REAL, but unstated, reason Democrats hate Michael Steele enough to engage in a racist, hate campaign against him?

FEAR and a desperate need to distract the press and the public from focusing on how the Democrats have sold Maryland Blacks down the river.

Michael Steele is a native of, and lives in, Prince George's County, Maryland.

EVERY county and state level elected official in Prince George's County is a Democrat.

The majority of them are Black.

Half of the non-Black minority are Hispanic.

Top school adminsitrators are predominately Black.

If you believe the Democrat's rhetoric, you would expect Prince George's County to be a paradise, especially for "minorities."

    You would be wrong.

Prince George's County's rapidly increasing murder rate is second highest in Maryland and the highest in the Washington, DC, suburbs.

Prince George's County's schools are the second worst in Maryland and the worst in the Washington, DC, suburbs. The Black school chief recently resigned while being investigated by the FBI; one of his

top assistants ($130,000 per year) has just been convicted on federal drug laundering charges and has been indicted on witness tampering charges.

Prince George's County has more car thefts and violent carjackings than all the rest of Maryland and the DC suburbs put together.

Attacking Michael Steele is just part of the Democrats scheme to distract the public and the press from their ongoing abysmal failure to either protect or educate the people of Prince George's County.

Unfortunately, the GOP will not field, much less effectively support, respectable alternatives to the failing Prince George's County Democrats.

  4. So, now that the Washington Times has issues a correction, is this blog going to? Sounds like its time for an apology tour by the editors.
