Justice O' Goner

Sandra Day O'Connor announced her retirement from the Supreme Court this morning, setting off the battle royale political junkies have been anticipating for weeks. Not much to say about it at this point, except President Bush campaigned on a promise to appoint "strict constructionists" to the bench. Conservatives all over America consider this one of the most important issues of our time. President Bush must - must - keep his promise.

    And the war is joined. Two immensely powerful forces meet in the political equivilant of toe to toe nuclear combat to fill the seat. What great entertainment this will be. Warning: Don't misunderestimate the Chimpster, again.
