Reid said Senate Democrats are united "in opposition to Republicans who want to turn the Senate into a rubber stamp for the radical right wing. The rights of all Americans are at stake."

The Democrats have been telling us over and over that criticism of judges equals "an attack on the independence of the judiciary" and that "we should not tolerate"... "verbal attacks on the federal judiciary".

Recent reports such as these from AP and The Chicago Tribune list supposedly out of bounds "attacks" by Republicans against judges, implying they risk inciting violence.

But we hear Democrats calling judges "radicals", "extremists", "a threat to our rights", etc., every day. So where is the press outrage about that?

None of these daily Democratic attacks on judges such as Priscilla Owen and Janice Rogers Brown are mentioned in those accounts. To Democrats in the Senate and the MSM, any criticism of liberal activist judges is a dangerous attack, but it's a non-issue to call judges such as Owen and Brown radicals and extremists who will strip Americans of their basic constitutional rights. Unfortunately, there's nothing new there - same double standard, different day.
