Democrats: All serious problems solved…

…or they wouldn’t be spending their time obsessing about the president’s exercise habits.

The DNC has issued a press release critical of President Bush for excercising too much, while cutting funding for education (via Drudge):

The White House this weekend announced that President Bush received good news during his annual physical. Doctors pronounced the President to be in “superior” physical condition, which media reports attributed to his rigorous, six day a week exercise routine. While President Bush has made physical fitness a personal priority, his cuts to education funding have forced schools to roll back physical education classes and his Administration’s efforts to undermine Title IX sports programs have threatened thousands of women’s college sports programs.

But didn’t the president in fact increase federal education funding as part of the No Child Left Behind Act? Isn’t this just a weaselly lie from the DNC?

And of course the Title IX implementation has discriminated against men, not women, by trying to force parity in outcomes where there isn’t parity in interest in college athletics.

This is the extent of Democratic party thinking today folks – your kid is fat? It’s Bush’s fault. Your daughter doesn’t want to play softball in college? It’s Bush’s fault. That’s it, that’s all they’ve got.

By the way, we’ve been hearing from the left for decades about perpetual “education funding cuts.” You’d think they’d have reached zero by now, or the schools would be paying us.
